G124 - Block Island Southeast Light - 11" x 16" Standard Burlwood Frame

The Southeast Light sits atop the daunting Mohegan Bluffs on the southeastern end of Block Island. The fresnel lens inside this old lighthouse serves as some mariners first sight of land in the Atlantic Ocean. The Southeast Light is famous for having once been moved as a whole piece 500 feet back from her original perch on the cliffs which continues to erode quickly. The move, which was carried out perfectly, saved the light from what was to be a sure tumble down the Mohegan luffs. This photo was taken prior to her move in 1993. Canon EOS 1v camera, 300mm lens, Fuji Velvia film.

11″ x 16″ signed print matted and framed in a 18″ x 24″ burlwood frame
